2026 Our HEALing Kitchen Grantees

Our HEALing Kitchen provides a “Train-the-Trainer” program aimed at empowering vulnerable populations to prepare healthy, affordable meals. Developed by Parkview Health dietitians, the curriculum enables organizations to host 6 to 8 cooking classes for 8 to 12 students. The program equips facilitators with the resources and training needed to effectively share these skills within their communities.

HEAL Markets

The HEAL Farm Markets are back for the 2026 season, ready to bring fresh, nutritious local food even closer to our Allen County neighbors. This vital collaboration between the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation and Parkview Health returns with convenient weekly schedules: Mondays at Johnnie Mae Farm, Thursdays at the Parkview Health Greenhouse, and Saturdays at the Southside Market. To ensure everyone has access to affordable, healthy food, the innovative “Doubling” initiative will continue matching SNAP, WIC, and Senior produce vouchers dollar-for-dollar. Along with accepting Veggie Rx, cash, and debit, the markets feature on-site interpreters and youth activities to welcome and support all members of our diverse community.

This year builds on the incredible momentum of the 2025 season, which distributed an estimated $75,000 worth of fresh, locally grown vegetables across 23 market events. Last year, these critical nutrition incentives drove over $50,449 in known redemptions, directly stretching the grocery budgets of local families and seniors. Thirteen local farmers participated, providing a unique mix of traditional American staples alongside specialty Asian and Burmese produce. Backed by the dedicated teamwork of our health and agricultural partners, the HEAL Farm Markets are proud to continue nourishing families and cultivating a healthier, more connected Fort Wayne.
