Community Health Resource Directory
The 2009-2010 edition of the Community Health Resource Directory details over 70 local resources which help Allen County residents access quality, low-cost medical, dental, and mental health and wellness care. New to this year’s directory is additional information about how to use the local bus system to reach medical providers, as well as prescription payment assistance plans. According to Foundation Executive Director Meg Distler, "This is an especially important service, as our recent health survey of those with limited household incomes revealed that 35% lack a regular source for their medical care, as compared to the national rate of 22%." The Foundation provides free resource directories to anyone in the community to make it easier to find high quality, low-cost medical, dental, and mental healthcare providers. Directories may be picked up during regular business hours at 2826 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46807. If necessary, arrangements may be made for delivery. We will deliver orders of over 25 issues up to twice per month, usually on Fridays; larger orders may require a longer delivery time. We will mail orders of less than 25 issues.
