Last HEAL Markets of the 2026 season this week

The St. Joe Foundation joins its partners in marking the final Johnnie Mae Farm market of the 2026 HEAL Farm Market season, taking place today, Monday, August 31, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 2518 Winter Street. The season has brought fresh, local produce to three Fort Wayne locations throughout the summer: Mondays at Johnnie Mae Farm, Thursdays at the Parkview Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen (1716 Beacon Street), and Saturdays at the Southside Market (3300 Warsaw Street). While today marks the last Johnnie Mae Farm market of the season, the Parkview Greenhouse market continues through September 3, and the Southside Market runs through September 5.
For today’s market, Healthier Moms and Babies is bringing its Hopper Mobile Outreach van on-site to offer a free diaper distribution for local families. Advance registration is encouraged for a fast, easy pickup and can be completed at healthiermomsandbabies.org/mobile-outreach. Families are invited to stop by to shop for fresh, local produce while picking up these free essentials.
This year’s HEAL Farm Market season has reflected steady growth in reach and community engagement, connecting families across Fort Wayne with fresh, local food and essential resources throughout the summer. As the season winds toward its close in the coming days, the Foundation is grateful to our partners for a season of shared commitment to the health and wellbeing of local families and looks forward to continuing this partnership in the seasons ahead.
HEAL Farm Markets are operated by Plowshares Cooperative Food Hub, with support from the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network, and funded in partnership with the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation and Parkview Health.
