HEAL Summer Markets in full swing

The HEAL Farm Markets are currently in full swing across Fort Wayne, bringing vibrant energy, community connection, and the peak harvest of the season directly to our neighborhoods. As a vital collaboration funded by the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation and Parkview Health, these summer markets offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the best of local agriculture at an affordable cost.

Building on the momentum of past years, particularly 2025 which distributed an estimated $75,000 in fresh, locally grown vegetables and drove over $50,449 in nutrition incentive redemptions, this season continues to make healthy eating accessible through the innovative “Doubling” initiative.

Highlights of the Season

  • Dollar-for-Dollar Matching: We proudly match SNAP, WIC, and Senior produce vouchers. Veggie Rx, cash, and debit are also accepted.
  • Diverse Harvests: Thirteen local farmers offer a rich mix of traditional American staples alongside specialty Asian and Burmese produce.
  • Culturally Appropriate: On-site interpreters and engaging youth activities ensure every neighbor feels welcome to participate.
