Latino Leadership Pipeline initiative

The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation is thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Latino Leadership Pipeline (LLP) initiative, a collaborative effort between the Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana, Inc., Latinos Count, and the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. This groundbreaking project aims to prepare Hispanic and Latino professionals for non-profit board service, fostering a stronger, more diverse community leadership landscape.

On March 15, 2025, over 30 Hispanic and Latino professionals gathered for a full-day training session facilitated by Mike Stone. The energy in the room was palpable as these community leaders demonstrated their readiness and enthusiasm to serve. The St. Joe Foundation, as the proud sponsor of this event, witnessed firsthand the power of collaboration and the potential for positive change.

The LLP initiative has been a true labor of love for the dedicated committee members: Steve Corona, Flora Barrón, Esli Barron, Herb Hernandez, and Dr. JoAnne Alvarez. Their unwavering commitment and rockstar efforts have brought this vision to life, creating a fun and rewarding experience for all involved.

The St. Joe Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and supported this momentous occasion. By working together, these organizations and individuals have taken a significant step towards building a more inclusive and vibrant future for Northeast Indiana. The Foundation looks forward to seeing the lasting impact of the Latino Leadership Pipeline as these trained professionals step into leadership roles within the non-profit sector.
