Q: What drew you to join the St. Joe Foundation, and what about the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ’s legacy or the Foundation’s mission resonated with you?

I am honored to play a small part in the Foundation’s mission to share the love of Jesus Christ with the poor in our local community. As a granddaughter of an alumna of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, I was also drawn to the opportunity to be part of the legacy of the Poor Handmaids’ ministry to this area.

Q: What are you most looking forward to experiencing or learning as you get more involved with the Foundation’s grantees and their work in the community?

There are incredible organizations serving our community every day, and I know that I have only touched the surface of understanding all they do. I am looking forward to growing in knowledge and appreciation of the Foundation’s grantees, as well as meeting the individuals who are tirelessly committed to serving others. 

Q: What’s something about how the Foundation operates or supports the community that has impressed you so far?

I am impressed by the humility with which the Foundation carries out their grantmaking efforts. They care more about making an impact in the lives of those in need than gaining any kind of recognition or credit.

Q: Outside of the Foundation, what’s something you’re passionate about that you love spending time on?

Besides spending time with friends and family, I love volunteering through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children at my parish, St. John the Baptist.
