Food Insecurity & Nutrition Network (FINN) to share results of the Regional Local Food System Needs Assessment

3:00 PM on May 13 at Ivy Tech Community College

Interested community members are welcome to join the next quarterly meeting of the Food Insecurity & Nutrition Network on Tuesday, May 13, at 3:00 PM at Ivy Tech Community College. The meeting will be at the Tech Center Building on the North Campus, 3701 Dean Drive, Room TC1225.

The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network will present key learnings from their recent regional local food system needs assessment conducted with Sturtz Public Management. According to Karen Petersen, Executive Director, “We’ll delve into the data regarding food access for vulnerable populations, exploring the region’s food supply, its sources, and identified areas for improvement.”

Following that discussion, there will be an opportunity to learn about Ivy Tech Community College’s Agricultural program, followed by an optional tour of their greenhouse. FINN is a network of local professionals and community members interested in addressing food and nutrition insecurity in northeast Indiana. The group meets quarterly, and the community is welcome. For more information, contact Meg Distler at MDistler@sjchf.org.
