A Generous Bequest
The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation received a generous bequest from the Estate of Dennis L. Donovan in April 2011. Dennis shared with his family that he wanted to thank the Poor Handmaids who had provided exceptional care to his mother at St. Joseph Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He chose to do so through the Poor Handmaids' St. Joseph Community Health Foundation. Accepting the check from Dennis' family are (pictured from left): Sr. Julienne Smith, PHJC; Carol Venderley, family member; Sr. Carole Langhauser, PHJC; Tim Donovan, brother; Judge Thomas J. Felts, family member; and Meg Distler, Foundation Executive Director.
