Northeast Indiana Funders Collective: Building Better Boards, March 8
In collaboration with six other Northeast Indiana foundations, St. Joe Foundation is co-hosting “Building Better Boards,” on Wednesday, March 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to strengthen our non-profit community. Meg Distler, executive director, advises, “We are excited about this conversation and hope our non-profit partners will take advantage of this opportunity to assist board leadership and their chief executives with tapping into proven best practices for effectiveness.”
The Northeast Indiana Funders Collective is a coalition of the chief executives from the following funders:
- AWS Foundation
- Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne
- Don Wood Foundation
- Foellinger Foundation
- The James Foundation
- Mary Cross Tippmann Foundation
- St. Joseph Community Health Foundation
This coalition presents its first community-wide learning opportunity, Building Better Boards, on March 8th. Crafted for both non-profit board members and non-profit CEOs, the day will be filled with inspirational and interactive learning. The conference will present non-profit leaders with diverse perspectives and provide concrete tactics to help them build and develop boards which are nimble, resilient, and effective. Featuring insights from Susan Decker, Senior Governance Associate and Lead Consultant Trainer for BoardSource, this day will encourage thoughtful discussion, aspirational thinking, and ways to engage the power, responsibility, and joy of non-profit leadership.
